Yard Labourer

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key duties and responsibilities of the position are:

-Report directly to the Site Supervisor
-Unloading material with zoom boom
-Maintain a clean safe construction site
-Pick up and delivery of construction material
-Daily walk through of houses
-Prepare houses for delivery
-Seasonal work – shoveling snow, heaters & cords, cutting grass, picking up garbage etc.
-Any other duties assigned by Site Supervisor

Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have the following skills and qualifications:
-Be very personable, outgoing, self-motivated, responsible, and hard working with a very high standard of customer service with communication and time management skills
-Be extremely organized with the ability to multi-task
-Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
-Zoom boom experience would be a definite asset

Service Representative

Nelson Homes located in Lloydminster, Alberta is looking for a Service Representative for the Ready To Move Homes (RTM’s). This is a contracted position so applicant must have their own company and WCB (Alberta & Saskatchewan).

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key duties and responsibilities of the position are to complete 3 visits to each RTM.

-Move inspection - drive to house after delivery to assess, record and take pictures of any damage occurred in the move. Any major damage must be addressed immediately.

-Initial service – drive to house and complete all move damage and any other deficiencies. This typically would be 2 to 4 days depending on how much move damage occurred. Rep would be expected to spend the night at a local hotel if driving back and forth does not make sense.

-Year-end service – drive to house and complete year end deficiency list.

Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have the following skills and qualifications:
• Be very personable, outgoing, self-motivated, responsible, and hard working with a very high standard of customer service, workmanship, and exceptional communication skills.

Surface Maintenance & Construction Laborer

We need someone to:

- Work quickly, productively and safely to meet production goals as outlined by Team Lead
- Perform manual labor in surface patch and repair by cleaning, applying and sealing materials on road surface
- Stand and walk for long periods of time 8 – 10 hrs per day up to 25 KM/day
- Repeatedly lift 30 pounds without assistance, and perform strenuous physical labor
- Must be able to complete work tasks under various weather conditions including high heat
- Repetitively twist, bend and reach from side to side

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance and Grounds Technician or a candidate that possesses the proficiency of being handy at general maintenance and repairs who is looking to make a difference in the community while building positive relationships between our residents, their families, and employees. This is a full-time salaried position with on-call responsibilities. You will be a part of the team that maintains the buildings, property in and around Pioneer Lodge and House, with alternating work at Lloydminster Region Housing Group properties within Lloydminster, Marwayne and Kitscoty when needed.

Main Duties: Maintenance
• Annual service of heating, cooling, and mechanical equipment.
• Adequate management and upkeep of organization’s property and assets.
• Apply a program of preventative maintenance – mechanical rooms, crawl spaces and rooftop units.
• Inspect vacant units weekly.
• Perform repairs to vacant rooms during tenant handovers.
• Perform duties ensuring the safety and security of tenants and staff.
• Perform repairs immediately to minimize damage, or if necessary, contact/hire outside contractor if unable to contact Maintenance Director or Director of Operations.
• Ensure eavestroughs and downpipes/spouts are cleaned in fall and spring.
• Repairs to exterior building shell and extensions (soffits, shingles, facia, siding, fences, storage buildings, etc.)
• Notify Director of Maintenance of any repairs or work required outside scope of ability.
• Maintenance and general repairs of common areas within LRHG properties and buildings.
• Emergency on-call rotation every two weeks or when needed.
• Be an active member of the OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) committee.
• Preform duties to ensure the safety and security of the tenants and staff.
• Assists with emergency fire drills and training.
• Provide mentorship of summer students or volunteers.
• Ensure preventative maintenance work is performed in accordance with policy.
• Completing annual inspections of the properties in conjunction with the Director of Maintenance.

Main Duties: Grounds
• Maintenance of exterior buildings and grounds outside and around Pioneer Lodge and House and LRHG properties.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and in safe and operational order.
• Seasonally assist/organize removal of snow and ice from walkways and parking lots.
• Ensure that parking lots and lawns are clear of litter and debris.
• Maintain appealing streetscape.
• Ensure all exit doors and walkways are free from obstructions (both inside and out).
• General lawn and garden maintenance. Watering, cutting, string-trimming, weeding, and pruning. Work in conjunction with resident’s garden and recreational group.
• Ensure adequate drainage away from buildings and walkways.
• Adequate management and upkeep of organization’s property and assets.
• Assist in building inspections along with Housing Placement Coordinator when requested.
• Completing annual inspections of the properties in conjunction with the Director of Maintenance.
